NBA Draft Judnalysis

Just a quick, down and dirty recap of last night's NBA Draft. One thought for each team. Please note that I did watch, but did not listen to the draft last night (too busy watching Biggio and 3,002 and the U.S. B-Team playing a solid 60 minutes of soccer against the Argentinians, though the game did last 90+ minutes), so all of the below comments are of my own judnalysis of the selections and trades.

Blazers - Oden = Next Ewing?
Sonics - Bottleneck at both PG and F
Hawks - Safe and conventional - cannot fault Billy Knight this year
Grizzlies - Back to the playoffs
Celtics - Ainge = new Billy Knight
Bucks - Good luck negotiating with China
Wolves - Good luck getting $.50 on the $1 for KG
Bobcats - Once again #23 got by more on athleticism than on basketball iq
Bulls - More defense? Really?
Kings - Still outside Western conference playoffs
76ers - Great draft - steal in Byars at #42
Hornets - Wright = value pick at 13
Clippers - Like Thornton, but Earth to Clippers, who is getting him the ball?
Pistons - Solid picks, but maybe they can get a coach in free agency
Wizards - Young + Arenas + healthy Caron & Antawn = conference finals
Nets - Biding time until Brooklyn & LeBron
Warriors - Why mess up the chemistry, Wright should contribute
Lakers - Will now be lucky to get $.24 on the $1 for Kobe
Heat - Daequan - good inside-out shooter for driving Wade
Knicks - With Randolph, Playoffs and relevancy!
Suns - Like Tucker, but does he fit?
Jazz - If the Coogs could shut down Almond, imagine what the Western Conference will do
Rockets - Yao needs his OT (if you don't understand this, I will be happy to explain)
Spurs - Rich get richer and at least more exciting with hothead Marcus Williams
Mavericks - Fazekas gives Mavs good inside presence allowing Dirk to rain 3s
Raptors - After the moves last season, I give them a free pass this year
Magic - Still no immediate help for Howard, but luckily still play in East
Pacers - Foreigner who will not contribute this year
Cavs - No picks = No help for LeBron
Nuggets - No picks, but year 2 of Carmelo-AI experiment should still be fun
