Fun Fact
In my never-ending quest for knowledge, I occassionally stumble across a nugget I believe needs to be shared with the world (or at least my faithful readers). Today's juicy morsel comes to us from the Northern League, an independent minor league (not affiliated with Minor League Baseball).

Assigned the contract of RHP Nigel Thatch (Rookie) to Fullerton of the Golden Baseball League in exchange for 1 pallet (60 cases) of Budweiser beer.
If you are unaware, Nigel Thatch is none other than the actor who played "Leon" from the Budweiser commercials. One of the commercials found him taking a call from his agent while in the batter's box and passing when his turn at bat came up.
