Well, tomorrow begins another desperate attempt on my part to win Jud’s fantasy football league. Tomorrow is the draft. So far every year I’ve played, my first round pick has forgotten the hype and subsequently gone out and gotten himself injured relatively early in the season. To make matters more heart breaking, those players come strong and make me think their season is going to be awesome and then injury strikes. Will this season be more of the same for me? Anyway, since I was thinking of football today, I decided to find some Floetry that is sort of football related. Yeah, after reading today’s Floetry you might feel it was less than advertised in terms of its connection to football. But, you don’t question when Outkast (or in this case, their boy Killer Mike) is up. By the way, the lines right after this shortened version of Floetry also spin real well. But, they are a little inappropriate and for some reason I feel like being a little more appropriate for a change today…
Floetry:
Player I grind, my focus is crime
Raw with the rhyme, I'm slick with the slime
My words are diamonds dug out a mine
Spit 'em, polish, look how they shine
Glitter, glisten, gloss, floss
I catch a beat runnin like Randy Moss
Taken from The Whole Wide World by Outkast (Andre 3000 and Big Boi) featuring Killer Mike

NFL Team By Team Judnalysis Part III
We will continue our jaunt through the AFC North with a brief overview of the Cincinnati Bengals. This offseason has been less tumultuous for Who Dey, but they must still find a way to replace Chris Henry who was suspended by the Commissioner for a portion of the season. However, the Bengals still have a pretty solid qb in Carson Palmer, a talented running back in Rudi Johnson and of course, Ocho Cinco and Houshmazilli are a quite formidable wide receiver tandem. Of course, I think their defense is still suspect, but I have a strong feeling this team will not only be in the playoffs, but could make a deep run, assuming they don't run afoul of the police.

NFL Team By Team Judnalysis Part II
The Baltimore Ravens
Key free agent acquisition - Willis McGahee
These purple and black-clad warriors are still the cream of the crop in the AFC North and should win it again if "God's Linebacker" Ray Lewis and the Cincinnati police have anything to say about it (have any of them been arrested lately? Its been a little too quiet on this front). I don't care much about the AFC North. Wait, that's not right. I just simply despise the AFC North, each of their teams, the way they play the games and the fact that we have to continually suffer through games that are earmarked for national television when they play each other simply because the NFL wants us to consider them rivalries. This is the MAC conference of the NFL and the Ravens are the Western Michigan Broncos (i.e. the favorite to win every year).

NFL Team By Team Judnalysis - Part I
So despite what I said in my previous NFL preview post, I will be hosting a team by team preview for the upcoming season. In order to accomplish this, I have asked some of my dear readers to provide some analysis of their favorite teams and for those teams that have no fan base amongst my readers (I am looking at you AFC and NFC West), I will be providing my own personal Judnalysis. Today, we take a look at 2006 NFC Runners-Up, the New Orleans Saints brought to you by diehard Saints fan and Cajun-extraordinnaire, K.
New Orleans will no doubt be a powerhouse in the NFC again this year founded mainly with their high octane offensive weapons. While losing an emotional leader in Joe Horn at Wide Receiver, the Saints maintain their one-two punch in the backfield with Deuce McAlister and Reggie Bush. Marques Colston will step in as the #1 receiver with Devry Henderson and first round pick, Robert Meachum out of Tennessee rounding out the core. Drew Brees should have all the weapons he needs to compete with his MVP-like season of a year ago. The real question for the Saints is one of defense and more specifically, the secondary. The defensive line is as strong as it was last season, with Charles Grant and Will Smith signing big contracts. The linebacker core has been given some much needed depth. Not surprisingly, many moves were made to help prevent the “big play” which was the Saints undoing last season. To work with Mike McKenzie, the only proven corner on the team [ed. note, nicknamed "Toast"], the Saints have brought in David Jones from Indianapolis and drafted Usama Young out of Kent State (among others). We’ll just have to wait and see who is on the regular season roster come Sept 6 in Indy! New personnel at the corners coupled with a healthy season from Roman Harper at safety could prove to be enough to propel the Saints deep into the playoffs again this year.
Check back tomorrow for Part II and if you have a favorite team you would like to write a preview for, shoot me an email at askjud@gmail.com (the Giants and Eagles have been spoken for already).
