This will be the first of many short and quick movie reviews.
Crash is a gritty and powerful movie that discusses the relationships amongst a group of strangers (from different backgrounds) in LA whose lives interact over the course of a night and the following day. It was a moving character study that delves into race relationships as very few other movies have (I am looking at you Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mac). The movie brought out a wide range of emotions. The performances, especially from Don Cheadle, Sandra Bullock, Matt Dillon, Brendan Fraser and even, Ludacris turned in a wonderful performance. For a good portion of the movie, I felt like I was watching a spin-off of Michael Mann's Collateral (between the visual effects and the amazingly subtle score).
I give it a solid 5 out of 6 beers.

All the President's Men
One of my all-time favorite movies is going through a rebirth of sorts over the past week with the unveiling of former deputy FBI chief W. Mark Felt as the mysterious 'Deep Throat' character who sparked the Watergate scandal. This brilliant film, starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, follows Washington Post reporters Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein as they uncover the mysteries of the break-in of Democratic Headquarters at the Watergate Hotel. The DVD has moved up to #7 on amazon.com's chart. I strongly encourage all to invest the time to watch this movie and feel free to share your thoughts.
