A History of Violence - movie review

Wow! and not in a good way. I seriously sat in my seat completely numb for a few minutes as the credits were rolling. I am still trying to figure out what the hell was going on in the movie. This was an in-depth character study, but I expect something to happen in a movie, even a drama such as this. Seriously. the most exciting thing that happened occurred after the movie was over when Brown went to the bathroom and Adam and I conveniently walked towards the exit and didn't let him know. When he called to ask where we were, we told him we were at the Wings 'N More across the courtyard from the movie theater, when we were just standing near the exit in the theater watching him walk obliviously out of the theater. Yes, Adam and I are both 12 years old and we didn't start drinking until later. I will try to catch this movie again when it hits dvd to see if I just missed something after a long day of work.

For now, this was a mere 1.5 out of 6 beers.

Back in H-Town

Well, after evacuating from Houston last Thursday, I returned late last night to find virtually no damage to my apartment, etc. due to Hurricane Rita. I am safely back in Houston and back to work.
