Whereas Wedding Crashers and the 40-Year Old Virgin were fairly intelligent comedies, Waiting ... was simply a stupid, gross-out, hilarious comedy. This movie has some of the funniest actors in Hollywood with Ryan Reynolds (Van Wilder, etc.), Anna Faris (of Scary Movie fame), Dane Cook (stand-up comedian), Justin Long (from Dodgeball), David Koechner (Champ Kind from Anchorman), Chi McBride (from Boston Public and Undercover Brother), John Francis Daley (from the underrated Freaks and Geeks), and the perfectly cast Luis Guzman. This was one movie that truly went for lowest common denominator and absolutely succeeded. Among the topics discussed include sex with underage girls, a shy bladder, foreigners not tipping, and most importantly, the male characters play a fun little game throughout the entire movie that is downright kick-ass!
4 out of 6 beers and might have been higher if not for the utterly brilliant Wedding Crashers and The 40-Year-Old Virgin. Lion's Gate was once hits the jackpot with another fun movie.

Flight Plan - movie review
The first 2/3 of this movie was quite suspenseful, really making you question Jodie Foster's sanity. Unfortunately, the movie did kind of fall apart in the last 1/3 where they lay out what exactly happened. I don't want to ruin the ending, but it was a tad disappointing. Just like her role in Panic Room, Jodie Foster nailed the part making the audience really feel for her and questioning her mental state throughout.
3 beers for the first 2/3 and 1 beer for the last 1/3.

Lord of War - movie review
Now this is what I was hoping History of Violence would have been like. This movie was so well-written and acted that you actually care for Nicholas Cage's character, who just happens to be supplying weapons to many of the warzones across the world. One of things I loved about this film was the breaking of the "fourth wall" where Cage's character would explain his actions and how he goes about his job. It just made his character that much more believable and possibly even relatable. I also have to give mad props to Lion's Gate Films once again for taking a chance on a movie like this.
This was a spectacular film and among the best of the year thus far.
5 out of 6 beers.
