Well it has been a while since I last posted, but that has been because I started working. I can't go into specifics, but I have been quite busy working long days. I was hoping to celebrate my birthday this weekend in Houston, but Hurricane Rita has decided that it felt I ought to celebrate it down in South Florida. So, with my office closed tomorrow and Friday (though I still have to do work), I will be flying into Fort Lauderdale tomorrow afternoon and get to celebrate with my family down there. Hopefully, my stuff will still be here when I return.
Please note that I do not condone stealing, looting, or any kind of criminal trespass, but if any of my readers plan on "surviving" during the aftermath of the storm this weekend, can you pick me up a living room furniture, 50-60-inch plasma television (or LCD/DLP, but those are a tad heavier), some nice speakers, a queen or king size bed, dresser, night stand, one of the flip top freezers, some fava beans and a nice chianti.
To my fellow Houstonians, other Texans (and displaced New Orleansians), please be very safe this weekend with the storm whether you are leaving Houston or staying put and videotaping it for local news stations to use.
