Domino - movie review

This was a tough movie to review as I really enjoyed the visuals brought to the screen by director Tony Scott, but I was rather disappointed with the story as a whole. I didn't know much of the main character's life, so I was rather interested in this semi-biopic. One of the biggest problems with the story was why she wanted to be a bounty hunter. It simply showed that Domino was bored with her life and then she saw a newspaper ad. Considering this was such a life-changing event, you would think there was more to it, like in American Beauty when Kevin Spacey's character had a mid-life crisis and decided to go back to work at a fast food restaurant because when he worked there years before, itwas a good time in his life. Overall, this was a movie of style over substance, which though many critics disliked, I really enjoyed the quick edits and the fast pace. I only wish the story was better.
