Red Eye - movie review

Wes Craven is still a master of suspense; however, the man could use a good script doctor. Granted the dialogue wasn't bad. Rather the story was just incomplete. We never really get a clear picture of the true motivation behind the "bad guy's" actions. It becomes clear what he wants to accomplish while on the airplane, but we were never told if he was hired by an independent third party or if it was his plan all along. I couldn't help but throw up my hands at the end of the movie and say WTF? This movie reminded me a lot of Passenger 57 with Wesley Snipes in that they both ended way too quickly when there easily could've been more plot and character development. In the end, there were plenty of boo-scares even if it lacked a little depth.

2.5 out of 6 beers.
