The Island - movie review

This movie bombed in theaters not because of anything the actors or director did. It suffered from poor execution by studio execs who truly failed to properly advertise this movie. I can't really understand why it didn't do better in theaters. For once, Michael Bay actually made a somewhat intelligent movie. Ewan McGregor and Scarlett Johansson are very talented actors and despite other critics, did another good job here. The story was solid, but in true Bay fashion, turned into one long chase in the second half (though it was quite fun). This was a movie that deserved better promotion and suffered because of a lack of it.

4 out of 6 beers.

Other Bay movies:
Bad Boys: 4/6
Bad Boys 2: 2.5/6
Pearl Harbor: 3/6
Armaggedon: 4/6
The Rock: 5/6
