Baseball As America - MFAH
Last Sunday I went to the Museum of Fine Arts Houston because they are currently housing the Baseball As America exhibit. The collection is on loan from the Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. It is quite simply amazing. Now, I have been to the HOF and have seen much of this stuff before, but it is still awe inspiring to see that much baseball history in one place. It has everything from George Brett's pine tar bat to the letter Curt Flood wrote to the Commissioner that lead to free agency to book containing the outcome of the investigation into Pete Rose's gambling to happy memories as well. If any of my readers find themselves in Houston prior to August 14, be sure to check it out.
